Le radici di Nester risalgono al 1894, quando fu fondata una fabbrica di scatole di cartone nel villaggio di Wiesa, sui Monti Metalliferi. Già allora venivano prodotti i primi coni scolastici e le prime uova di Pasqua in cartone, due prodotti che ancora oggi sono sinonimo di questa azienda.
